Katalin Kovács National Kayak-Canoe Academy
The same happened in Sukoró, where something exceptional was created during the waterproofing works of the impressive building of the Katalin Kovács National Kayak-Canoe Academy. Thanks to this execution, we became category winners in the “Roof of the Year 2025” prestigious award competition, in the Plastic Waterproofing category of the Waterproofing section. This is not only an important recognition for us, but a shared professional success – from the client to the designers to every expert involved in the implementation.
What makes this roof special?
This project was far from a simple roof insulation task. The goal was to create a spectacular curved barrel roof that, from a distance, resembles a metal sheet covering, yet utilizes a modern, long-lasting PVC waterproofing technology. This requirement presented technical, aesthetic, and execution challenges all at once. The solution lay in the right choice of materials, executional precision, and seamless collaboration.
During the project, we used the following systems and materials:
- Renolit Alkorplan F – lead grey PVC waterproofing membrane
- Alkordesign extruded standing seam profile – creating a visual effect similar to metal sheet roofing
- Alkorsolar system – for the safe and aesthetic mounting of solar panels
The execution was carried out in collaboration with Vidok Roof Kft., a trusted partner we’ve been working with for years – and once again, we managed to meet the high expectations through outstanding professional cooperation.
