Project Overview
The investment site is located in Kapuvár-Miklósmajor, where construction began in October 2024 with the goal of building a new high-capacity dairy facility. The new structure not only increases livestock capacity but also enhances animal welfare, which in turn contributes to improved milk production performance. Lajta | Szig was commissioned to handle the fabrication and installation of the steel structure, trapezoidal sheet metal roofing, and the entire sheet metal finishing works.
Why Was Lajta | Szig Selected?
The client launched an open tender to identify the most suitable contractor. Lajta | Szig submitted a highly competitive offer, which represented the best price-to-value ratio compared to other bids—ultimately leading to their selection. Although the project did not require any special construction technologies, the client placed high importance on technical reliability and professional credibility when making the final decision.
Challenges and Project-Specific Features
Archaeological excavations at the construction site caused delays at the start of the project. This not only pushed back the launch date, but also required a change in the construction sequence: the originally planned building direction had to be reversed, and the project had to be divided into multiple phases to accommodate the excavation work. Thanks to the team’s flexibility and adaptability, construction progressed without major interruptions despite the obstacles.
Professional Collaboration and Development
While this project did not require custom solutions or complex structures, Lajta | Szig once again demonstrated its ability to carry out fast, precise, and client-oriented work on large-scale, industrial construction sites. The build involved erecting a steel-framed hall with trapezoidal sheet metal roofing. Structural assembly began after the foundation works had been completed by a partnering contractor. All materials used in the project were selected to meet the demands of long-term performance in industrial environments, requiring minimal maintenance while delivering high reliability.
